Allergy Treatment

Allergy Treatment Allergy and Asthma Graphic

We know how miserable it can be to suffer from allergies. Whether you have hay fever or food allergies, you’ve probably experienced the negative effects of your allergies many times through the years. Allergies can cause hives, itchy eyes, a runny nose, sinus congestion, skin irritation and digestive issues. Food allergies can cause nausea, vomiting, and even life-threatening respiratory responses.

If you have allergies, your quality of life depends on an effective treatment plan. Allergy and Asthma Center can diagnose your allergies and arrive at a treatment plan that provides effective relief.

Allergy Testing

At Allergy and Asthma Center, we provide a comprehensive evaluation for each patient to determine the cause of their allergy symptoms. This assessment will help us make the best possible recommendations for treatment.

The team at Allergy and Asthma Center takes a three-step approach to each patient’s assessment:

  • Evaluate the patient’s history of symptoms
  • Perform a physical examination
  • Conduct an examination of the patient’s environment

We use each piece of information to create an allergy plan to fit your personal needs. Our allergist then performs a skin test to determine your exact allergy triggers.

Allergy Treatment

Once we determine the cause of your allergy symptoms, Dr. Lozano will recommend an effective treatment plan. Treatment plans often include a list of allergens to avoid, oral and nasal allergy medications or immunotherapy, or allergy shots. Dr. Lozano will tailor your treatment approach to your needs and goals.

At Allergy and Asthma Center, we approach treatment from a preventive (rather than a reactive) approach. Our goal is to stop your symptoms before they arrive, helping you avoid the misery and downtime that often accompany allergy attacks.
